Intex has announced a new interesting device in the Aqua series called the Intex Aqua View. The 5-inch device is priced at Rs 8999 (USD 134) and comes with a free VR viewer – the Intex Eyelet Cardboard VR, built in partnership with Google and based on the search giant’s Cardboard 2.0. The VR headset is has 34mm lens and supports smartphone screen up to 6-inches.
Based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the Intex Aqua View sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with 2.5D curved screen and is backed by a fairly moderate 2200mAh battery. The Dual SIM enabled device measures 124 x 64 x 10.3 mm in dimensions, weighs 146 grams, has a Fingerprint sensor and supports 4G LTE connectivity. Other connectivity options include – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735P 64-bit processor clocked at 1GHz with 2GB RAM and 16GB built-in storage space which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD. In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash; and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies.
