Intex has officially announced a budget smartphone – the Intex Aqua Y4, another entrant to the Aqua series of smartphones from the coy. The device costs INR 4190 ($66) and is available in Black, Champagne, Silver and White colour options.
Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies said,
“At Intex we believe in revolutionizing a feature rich experience for our customers such that our offerings become a seamless mix of technology at the right price. The Aqua Y4 is the perfect example of designing devices keeping the consumer in mind, even the slightest of convenience of the user is kept in mind while making this new offering”.
Moving to the specs, the Intex Aqua Y4 has rear facing 5MP camera with LED flash, a front facing 2MP camera for either video chats or selfies and the volume rockers can also be used as camera shutter for taking images. It sports a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA).
Under the hood, it is powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot onboard for storage expansion (up to 32GB) and it runs Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS out-of-the-box.
The Intex Aqua Y4 comes with Dual SIM slots and supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth. It measures 136 x 67.5 x 8.7mm in dimensions, weighs 132.5 grams, has FM Radio and is backed by a 1700mAh battery. Apps like Opera Mini, Intex Service, Clean Master, ASK ME, Quikr and News Hunt come pre-loaded on the Aqua Y4.
