Intex has added a new entry-level phone to the company’s Aqua series of devices – the Intex Aqua Young. The device which doesn’t have 4G LTE support is available for Rs 5090 ($78) in Champagne, Dark Grey and White colour options.
Booting Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box, the Intex Aqua Young has a 5-inch (480 x 854 pixels) FWVGA display, powered by a quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage out of which about 4.67GB is available to the user.
The device has a 5MP main camera with LED flash, a front facing VGA (0.3MP) camera and a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB. Connectivity options on the Aqua Young includes – Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, microUSB 2.0 port and 3G but no 4G LTE as stated earler which is a flaw.
The Intex Aqua Young has Dual SIM slots, measures 145.3 x 72 x 9.5 mm in dimensions, weighs around 158 grams and is backed by a 2500mAh battery that is expected to provide up to 9 hours 30 minutes of talk time.
Like other devices from Intex it comes pre-loaded with apps such as Opera Mini, Intex Service, Chaatz, Amazon, Goibibo and FOTA. The company has also included features such as Cast Screen, Gesture support and Smart Awake.
