iBall is one of the most prominent smartphone and tablet makers in India and the brand is very familiar to us here at TGF. The company has listed some smartphones up on its website which it hasn’t officially announced.
The most interesting of the is the iBall Cobalt Oomph 4.7D smartphone which is designed to look like the iPhone 6. The device has the same 4.7-inch display size with a metal looking back cover as the iPhone 6 but that’s where most of the comparison ends.
The iBall Cobalt Oomph 4.7D uses 1280 X 720 pixels on its 4.7-inch IPS display resulting in a pixel density of 321ppi. It is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot onboard for storage expansion (up to 32GB).
On the rear is a 8MP Auto-Focus camera with LED flash and the front camera is a 5MP unit. Connectivity options on the device includes – microUSB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS and 3G. It also has HotKnot connectivity which performs NFC like functions.
It is backed by a 1850Mah battery, measures 8.4mm thick, supports Dual SIM functionality and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS (the company promises upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop OS). There is no word on the pricing and availability details of the iBall Cobalt Oomph 4.7D but it could go official in coming days.
