Chinese Telecommunication Agency, TENAA has continued to be a peek source of upcoming smartphones and since China is a market nobody must ignore if they want to succeed most devices have to pass through the agency. Just like the Gionee 5001 and 9010, we have also gotten Intel on the DOOV L5 Pro.
Chinese device manufacturer, DOOV is not at the level of Gionee, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Huawei or ZTE yet but the company’s upcoming offering the L5 Pro deserves some attention because it looks like or borrows or has the same design as the iPhone 6.
Moving to the specs, the DOOV L5 Pro sports a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and we are looking at a polycarbonate body build with metal frame around the edge. It uses the same round home button as Apple mobile devices and it is likely a fingerprint sensor is embedded into it.
Under the hood, powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. On the back of the device lies a 13MP camera, on the front sits a 5MP camera for selfies and for additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
Running YunOS (YunOS 3.1.8), the DOOV L5 Pro measures 153 x 73.1 x 6.5 mm in dimensions, weighs 152 grams, has Dual SIM slots and is backed by a 2500mAh battery. The device supports standard connectivity options including 4G LTE, GPS, microUSB v2.0, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; and is compatible with GSM, TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE, LTE FDD and WCDMA networks
