The announcement was made by Jason Njoku, the founder of iROKOtv Any attempt to access the website through the official irokoTV.com, you would be directed to irokoTV.com/android to download the app. Existing subscribers would however still be able to access their accounts and the desktop site.
iROKOtv prides itself to offer the best of Nollywood and different TV series. The service has over 6000+ Nigerian and Ghana films. African users can also watch Hollywood, Indian and Korean movies on the platform. Once you have the app, you will be able to download and watch your favourite movies or TV shows offline on your Android device.
At the moment, the iROKOtv app is only available for Android devices and is available for download on Google Play Store. iOS, Windows Phone and Blackberry users would have to take a chill pill.
Jason Njoku could have borrowed a leaf from Solo with the Solo View app which allows users to download videos and watch instead of stream them online for watching. We all know the network situation in our regions here where 3G gives you the speed less than what 2G would offer.
