IUNI is a spinoff from Gionee which is still controlled by the company but releases devices under the IUNI brand. The company has announced a new device – the IUNI i1 which is said to be aimed at the feminine population with its Cherry Pink colour UI.
The IUNI i1 features a 5.2-inch (1920 X 1080 pixels) Full HD display with 2D curved glass. It is powered by a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor which clocks at 2.5GHz with 32GB space of internal storage and 2GB of RAM. There is no word on the availability of a microSD card slot.
On the rear it sports a 13MP main camera with a pixel size of 1.34 microns, f/2.0 aperture and some beauty enhancement tools; the front camera is a 8MP unit which is very good for selfies thanks to its 85-degree wide angle lens. Connectivity options on the device includes – Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE (TD-LTE and LTE-FDD Bands are supported).
The IUNI i1 as expected is Dual SIM (with Dual Standby) enabled, runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS with IUNI OS ontop and is backed by a 3000mAh battery. The device is already available in China in two colour options – Subtle White and Light Pink; in two variants – a standard edition which cost CNY 1999 ($323) and a more Enhanced edition which costs CNY 2399 ($387) and is said to come with addons like a jewellery box and some other female accessories.
