Chinese device maker, Jiayu has been riddled with rumours of shutting down and has undergone several restricting over the year. The company has launched the – Jiayu S3+ a Plus version of the Jiayu S3 after almost a year it launched with some improvement in details.
Moving to the specifications, the Jiayu S3+ sports a LG made 5.5-inch IPS LTPS OGS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD), a pixel density of 401ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It measures 152 x 75. 5 x 8.9 mm in dimensions, weighs 158 grams and an ample-sized 3000 – 3100mAh battery powers the whole package.
Under the hood sits an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-T720 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space. It supports 2G/3G/4G networks in China and has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, micro USB v2.0, GPS/GLONASS connectivity options.
The Jiayu S3+ has a front facing 5-megapixels Samsung-made camera with f/2.4 aperture and 84.33-degrees viewing angle; and a rear facing 13-megapixels SONY IMX 214 camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5P Lens and Dual-LED flash. For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot which supports up to 64Gb cards and Dual Stereo speakers for enhanced audio.
It boots Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and sports Dual SIM slots (micro SIM + micro SIM) with dual 4G. The Jiayu S3+ is available in China for a price tag of CNY 859 (approx USD 134) in Black, Grey and White colour options. There are some interchangeable back covers in the offering with other different colours.
