Several companies like Archos (GamePad), NVIDIA (Shield), Acer (Predator), JXD and more, all have gaming tablets in the market but the persistent issue being relevant to the average user still lingers. JXD is not giving up though as the company has announced a new gaming Tablet – the JXD S192.
JXD is marketing the S192 as an ‘Android Retro Gaming Tablet’. It sports a 7-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) Full HD Retina display with a pixel density of 323ppi and is powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor along with just 2GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space.
The JXD S192 comes with Hi-Fi stereo dual-speakers, hardware control buttons on both sides of the screen and trigger buttons on top. It sports a camera combo of 13MP/5MP on the front and rear, and is backed by a 10,000mAh Lithium-ion Polymer battery which boasts up to 6 hours of gameplay, 11 hours of video streaming and 30 days of standby time.
On the inside, it boots an unnamed version Android (sources say it is the Jelly Bean), comes with the Google Play Store and 18 different types of game console formats including NES, Dreamcast, Gameboy, N64, SNES, Gameboy, PS1, Atari and Gameboy Advance. It also comes with an HDMI Dual Screen output for connecting to bigger screens.
The JXD S192 is due to be released on May 6th. The pre-order price is $316/€280/£220.
