Karbonn has announced a new entry-level smartphone in India – the Karbonn K9 Smart. The 3G only device boast of having support for 21 local Indian keyboard languages but rather boots Android Kitkat OS. It is available in Black and White colour options in Rs 3990 (US$ 60).
Measuring 144.7 x 74.1 x. 10.1 mm in dimensions and weighing 143.6 grams in size, the Karbonn K9 Smart sports a 5-inch display with 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) resolution and is powered by a Dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 512MB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space.
For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for expansion up to 32GB. In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 3.2-megapixels camera with LED flash and a front facing 1.3-megapixels camera. Connectivity options on the K9 Smart includes – Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 3G.
The Karbonn K9 Smart has Dual SIM slots with Dual Standby, runs the well dated Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and is backed by a 2300mAh battery. The device is expected to last up to 250 hours of standby time, up to 6 hours of talk time and the battery itself takes about 3 hours to go from 0% to 100%.
