Kazam cancels the Super-Slim Tornado 55L smartphone

At the MWC 2015 earlier this year, Kazam announced the Super Slim Kazam Tornado 552L smartphone with measures just around 5.5mm thin. The device has been expected to go on sale in the UK and Europe but it now seems it would never be seeing the light of the day as it has been cancelled.

A visit to the company’s website shows there is no listing again for the device with only the Kazam Tornado 348 on display and all fears were confirmed when the company’s official twitter account replied an inquisitive user that the Tornado 552L has not been delayed but rather it has been cancelled due to lack of local demand.

Kazam however assures that new smartphones are incoming but when they will come and how much it will cost is not known to us.

Going back to the details of what would have been the Kazam Tornado 552L, it sports a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD Super AMOLED display, powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6752 processor clocked at 1.7GHz with 2GB of RAM, 16GB native storage space and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

The rest of the specs includes – 4G LTE connectivity, front facing 8MP camera, rear facing 13MP camera with LED flash, no microSD card slot, measures 5.5mm thin, weighs 126.5 grams and backed by a 2750mAh battery.

If you are still in love with a 5.5mm-thin phone and the above mentioned specification, the Gionee Elife S7 is a nice device to checkout. I must tell you the Kazam Tornado 552L  was expected to be based on the aforementioned device.
