After updating the 2015 models of the Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 smartphones to 2016, the Samsung Galaxy A9 is the next device to launch in the Samsung Galaxy A series. The phablet-sized device with a comfortable 6-inch display is expected to arrive next month at the CES 2016 or later this month.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 has previously been spotted on AnTuTu benchmark with some of the key specs known. Along with a 6-inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED display, 3GB of RAM and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 processor, the device supports 4G LTE networks, Samsung Pay and has a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button.
Samsung has decided to go with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS instead of Android Marshmallow and the battery is of ample sized capacity – a 4000mAh unit with fast charging features.
