Kyocera is known to make rugged smartphones either with waterproof or with sapphire screen like the Kyocera Brigadier . The new smartphone from the company is the Kyocera Luch (Luce) KCP01K; which would come with waterproof, dustproof and shock-proof features.
The Luch has extra protective shell over its plastic body. It would pack a 4.5-inch TFT LCD display with 960 x 540 pixels (qHD) screen resolution , a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.The Luch smartphone has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front facing camera.
Other specs info of the Kyocera Luch includes NFC, Mobile wallet, Seg TV, a 2000mAh battery and a microSD card slot. The handset measures 11.2 mm thich (rather bulky), weighs about 139 grams, runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS out-of-the-box and is available for a price tag about $283.
