Popular vehicle maker, Land Rover has teamed up with Bullitt group to develop a new Land Rover smartphone and range of accessories. The portfolio which is expected to launch by ‘Early 2017’, will embody the core values of the Land Rover brand, featuring some truly innovative capabilities and technology.
Over the years, Land Rover had previously worked with Sonim to make tough/rugged devices and currently has a number of phones to its name (four actually). On its part, Bullitt Group on is the brain behind smartphones and accesories on license or with custom design by Caterpillar (CAT), JCB, Kodak, Ted Baker and Ministry of Sound.
Land Rover wants the new portfolio of mobile devices and accessories designed to be an active lifestyle partner, aimed at people who like to take on new challenges and go ‘above and beyond’ the ordinary. Thus, Bullitt is working in tandem with the Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations Group.
Commenting on the launch, the Director of Licensing and Branded Goods at Jaguar Land Rover, Lindsay Weaver said;
“Incorporating iconic Land Rover design and innovative technology into the mobile phone sector with Bullitt Group presents an exciting challenge and fantastic opportunity to take the brand into a new dimension.
“An engineering and design team from Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations will be assigned to the partnership and subsequently deliver a number of bespoke applications tailored to Land Rover brand and product values.”
