Microsoft has announced the Surface Laptop 4, the successor to the Surface Laptop 3 which made its debut alongside the Surface Pro 7 and Surface Pro X 2-in-1 devices. The laptop is available in either 13.5-inch or 15-inch 3:2 PixelSense touchscreen displays options and either Alcantara or metal finish in Black, Platinum and Sandstone colours and as well as a new Icy Blue option.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 can be configured with two processor options – the 11th Gen Intel Core (Core-i5/Core-i7) processor with Intel Iris Xe Graphics and custom AMD Ryzen Microsoft Surface Edition processors with AMD Radeon Graphics. Either option is paired with up to 32GB LPDDR4x RAM, up to 1TB SSD (removable) and the battery lasts between 16.5 to 19 hours depending on the configuration.
The rest of the specs include USB-C and USB-A ports (one each), 3.5 mm headphone jack, 1x Surface Connect port, Omnisonic Speakers with Dolby Atmos, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 6, 2x far-field Studio Mics, and 720p HD camera (front facing) with Windows Hello face authentication. Both models is equipped with TPM 2.0 chip for enterprise security and BitLocker support, and Windows 10 Home 20H2.
Pricing start at US$ 999.99 (AU$1,599.00) and goes up to US$ 2,399 (AU$3,999.00) for different configuration (screen size, processor, and colour). It is available globally from Microsoft.com and Bestbuy.com (US).
