Indian based, Lava Mobiles has announced a new sub-$100 4G LTE smartphone in form of the Lava A71 4G in India. It is available online in Blue colour with Silver frame and White colour with Gold frame from Indiantimes Shopping for a price tag of Rs 5849 (USD 86).
Running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS which is upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, the Lava A71 4G relies on a quad-core Mediatek processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage. It sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with a pixel density of 294ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
For photography, there is a front facing 2-megapixel camera with front LED flash for quality selfies in low-light conditions and a rear facing 5-megapixel AutoFocus camera with LED flash. Connectivity options on the device includes – 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
The Lava A71 4G has Dual SIM slots, a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB and is backed by a 2500mAh Li-Ion battery which should last up to a day or more of mixed use.
