India’s Lava has teamed up with Intel and Microsoft to announce its first Windows 10 notebook – the Lava Helium 14. The budget laptop is the company’s venture into the PC market and available online exclusively on Flipkart starting at Rs 14,999 (US$ 232). It will also go on sale via select retail outlets.
The Lava Helium 14 features a 14.1-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD LED Backlit TN display and comes pre-installed with Windows 10 Home OS. It ships with a quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8350 (Cherry Trail) processor (Turbo Boost up to 1.92GHz), Intel HD Graphics, and 2GB of RAM.
Other features of the laptop include: 32GB built-in storage, microSD card slot (up to 128GB), 2MP HD Webcam, and Dual Speakers. The ports and connectivity options available include: 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0 and 1x Mini HDMI Port.
The Lava Helium 14 measures 333 x 220 x 19.4 mm, weighs 1.45 kilogram and prospective users have the option of choosing either Purple or Silver colours. The 10,000mAh Lithium polymer battery on-board, promises up to 9 hours of usage.
