Lava has added a new smartphone, an entry-level one for that matter – the Lava Iris 414 and would slot below other devices in the Iris series accordingly. It packs modest specs and comes with an affordable price tag; but one would wonder who would opt for this kinds of specs these days when there are smartphones out there with Android Lollipop and better specs.
Moving to the specs, the Lava Iris 414 sports a 4-inch display with (800 x 480 pixels) WVGA resolution. Under the hood there is a 1GHz processor (unknown chipset and maker) with 512MB of RAM and 4GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB and the device runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS.
It weighs 110 grams in size and measures 120 x 63.4 x 10.4 mm in dimensions; the device has Dual SIM functionality (with Dual Standby) along with a front facing VGA camera, rear facing 3.2-megapixels camera with LED flash and a 1400mAh battery providing the required energy.
Connectivity options on the device includes – 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and 3G. The Lava Iris 414 costs INR 4049 ($65) in black colour option and is expected to go on sale soon.
