Lava mobiles has two new offerings in the markets – the Lava Iris 444 smartphone and Lava NKS 101 tablet. While there is no pricing and availability details for the NKS 101 tablet; the Iris 444 smartphone is priced at Rs 3199 ($52) on Flipkart in a Dual-Tone Blue and Black colour option.
The Lava Iris 444 smartphone features a 4-inch (800 X 480 pixels) WVGA TFT display, powered by a 1GHz single-core Cortex -A7 processor with 256MB of RAM and 512MB sapce of built in storage. There is a microSD card slot on-board for storage expansion (up to 32GB).
The main camera is a 2MP unit with LED flash and a front facing VGA (0.3MP) camera. Connectivity options on the device includes – Bluetooth, Micro USB, 2G and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi.
The Lava Iris 444 measures 123 x 63.2 x 11mm in dimensions, weighs 116 grams, supports Dual SIM functionality and runs on Android Kitkat OS. The device is backed by a 1400mAh battery which is expected to deliver about 12 hours of talk time on 2G networks.
Lava also listed an over-dated tablet on its website, in this age of Kitkat and Lollipop, the tablet runs Jelly Bean OS. The device in question is the Lava NKS 101 tablet.
It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and is backed by a massive 7600mAh battery capacity.It sports a 10.1-inch (1280 X 800 pixels) HD multi-touch display, powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB space of internal storage. Other specs details includes – 2MP front and rear facing cameras and micro USB, USB OTG, Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity options.
