Lava has announced the Lava Iris Fuel 50; this is the first smartphone from the Fuel Series of smartphone and the company has promised we will see more smartphone coming from this series with strong battery life.
The highlight of the device is its battery capacity – 3000mAh which is said to provide around 360 hours of standby time and 13 hours of talktime on 3G network. The smartphone knockout other smartphones in its price range with its stronger battery life – Zenfone 5 A501CG (2110mAh), Xiaomi Redmi 1S (2000mAh), Moto E (1980mAh).
Back to the specs of the Lava Iris Fuel 50, the device packs a 5-inch (480 x 854 pixels) FWVGA IPS display which is protected by a scratch resistant Asahi Dragon-trail glass. A 1.3GHz quad-core (unspecified chipset) processor powers the device with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable inbuilt storage (up to 32GB via microSD card).
On the rear is a 8MP rear Autofocus camera with dual-LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for video chats and maybe selfies is also onboard. The Lava Iris Fuel 50 supports dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) connectivity and has 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, 3G, Bluetooth as some of it connectivity options.
It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box, measures 144.8 x 72.9 x 9.5mm, weighs 160 grams and the Lava Iris Fuel 50 also comes with software features such as double tap to wake up screen, and supports drawing customisable gestures.
