Not willing to be left out of the selfie trend, Lava has announced a selfie focused smartphone, the Lava Iris X5 which would retail exclusively from Amazon India for Rs 8799 ($145 / N24,000 in Naira). In recent times we have seen the Sony Xperia C3 and the Karbonn Titanium S19.
The highlight of the Lava Iris X5 obviously would be in the camera section. The device sports a 5MP autofocus front facing camera with LED flash for taking sharp and better selfies. There is also a 8MP rear camera with Dual LED flash and Omni BSI sensor.
Moving on to the other specs, The Lava Iris X5 features a 5-inch (720 x 1280 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot), a 2100mAh and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS.
The device supports Dual SIM functionality (one Micro SIM and one Mini SIM) with Dual Standby and supports 3G connectivity options as well as standard connectivity options.
