This week, Lava Mobiles announced the Lava X41+ (pronounced Lava X41 Plus) – its latest 4G VoLTE-enabled smartphone. The mid-range device has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection and depends on a 2500mAh battery, which should be suitable for about a day of usage.
On the inside, the device boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and relies on a quad-core 64-bit processor (possibly the Mediatek MT6753) clocked at 1.3GHz paired along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space. For additional space, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
For photography, there is a rear facing 8MP camera with LED flash and 1.4µm pixel size, alongside a front facing 5MP camera to handle selfies and video chats. Connectivity options on the device includes – 4G LTE, Voice over LTE (VoLTE), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.
The Lava X41+ has Dual SIM slots and is equipped with Touch-free controls via Air Gesture, but misses out on a fingerprint sensor. It measures 145 x 71.2 x 8.8 mm in dimensions, weighs in at 154 grams and arrives in either Black or Gold colour option. Pricing is set at Rs. 8999 (US$ 134).
