In a bid to stand out from the several other affordable devices in the market, more OEMs are turning to Voice over LTE (VoLTE) as the standout feature. India-based, Lava Mobiles has just launched one of such device called the Lava X46; it will be available in coming days for Rs 7999 (USD 120).
Dressed in Gold body colour and supporting 12 regional languages, the Lava X46 sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 294ppi and is backed by a capable 2500mAh battery which should be able to provide up to 152 hours of standby time and up to 16 hours of talk time.
On the side, the Dual SIM enabled device relies on a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 2GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space. For additional storage space, there is a microSD card slot (up to 32GB) and connectivity/network options onboard includes – 4G LTE (Cat.4) with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.
In the camera segment, the main camera is a rear facing 8MP snapper with LED flash while the secondary camera is a front facing 2MP camera for selfies and video chats. LCD as Flash feature ensures the Lava X46 screen can lighten up as flash when using the front camera. Other features on the camera app include – Child Mode, Audio Picture, Smile Shot, Time Lapse video, Slow Motion video, and V Gesture .
