Chinese device maker, LeEco has announced a new variant of last year’s Le Pro 3 with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 SoC in China. The phablet device, dubbed the LeEco Le Pro 3 Elite, is priced at CNY 1699 (US$ 246 / EUR 233) and currently available in the country via LeEco Mall, Lynx and Jindong.
The choice of name here is a bit misleading as the LeEco Le Pro 3 Elite is a cheaper variant, not a higher variant of the original Le Pro 3 as expected to be. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor instead of the higher Snapdragon 821 on the Le Pro 3 and also does without support for NFC.
The rest of the specs remain unchanged from the original. It sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD display with 2.5D curved glass, metal unibody design and boots LeEco’s EUI 5.8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. It draws energy from a 4070mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
It packs 4GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage and Dual SIM slots. Others include – 16MP PDAF camera with f/2.0 aperture, front 8MP camera with 76.5-degree wide angle lens, rear fingerprint sensor and 4G VoLTE support. The LeEco Le Pro 3 Elite comes with free 3 months subscription to its music streaming service and equipped with USB-C Port for charging and transfering data.
