LeEco is preparing a new smartphone for release on June 29th. While there has been speculation what the final name would be, the device with codename – LeEco LEX720 has been put through its paces by benchmark website – AnTuTu. The listing shows a very powerful device with a total score of 154,272.
Running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS; the LeEco LEX720 is powered by a pro variant of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (MSM8996) processor which means the MSM8996pro stated could either be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 or the Snapdragon 821 SoC; but the latter is looking more likely.
The SoC is paired with Adreno 530 GPU for graphics along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space. The device also has a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and is expected to have Dual SIM slots, a full metal body build, 4G LTE connectivity and the USB Type-C port.
For photography, the device packs a front facing 8MP and rear facing 16MP cameras. The LeEco LEX720 is believed to be the LeEco LeMax 2 Pro and should end up with the Snapdragon 821 – the overclocked version of the Snapdragon 820. The SoC is clocked at 2.3GHz instead of 2.15GHz while the GPU is working at 650MHz instead of 624MHz.
