Lenovo is expected to launch the cheapest 4G LTE enabled smartphone in India – the Lenovo A2010. The device which is already on sale in Vietnam for around Rs 4970 (1,690 Vietnamese Dong) is expected to make way to India soon.
Moving to the specs, the Lenovo A2010 sports a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA TFT display, powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735M processor clocked at 1.0GHz paired with 1GB of RAM, 8GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
The device supports Dual SIM slots, measures 130.5 x 66.6 x 9.98 mm in dimensions, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, and supports 2G/3G/4G LTE networks and Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, micro USB connectivity options.
The Lenovo A2010 has a 5MP rear facing camera with LED flash, a 2MP front camera for selfies & video chats and a decent 2000mAh battery to keep the light on for some hours.
At the moment, the cheapest 4G LTE smartphone in India is the Phicomm Energy 653 which is priced around Rs 4999. Lenovo would price the A2010 lower than that but the price is not expected to be lower than the Rs 4500 mark.
Update: The Lenovo A2010 is already official in India and it is priced at INR 4990 in White and Black colour options. The Black option is exclusive to Flipkart.
