Lenovo is making waves in the midrange sector (lower midrange) sector; the company currently has its A Series range of device – Lenovo A5000, Lenovo A6000, Lenovo A6000 Plus and Lenovo A7000 to thank for this. All four device all cost below the $200 (sub-$200) price tag.
Just hours after the Lenovo A5000 made its debut in Russia, the device is making its way to India next for a price lesser than that of Russia. According to Mumbai Based retailer, Mahesh Telecom the device would be be available for Rs 10,250 ($162) which is lesser comparable to $227 it sells in Russia.
Recaping the specs, the Lenovo A5000 sports a 5-inch (720 X 1280 pixels) HD IPS touchscreen display, powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. There is a MicroSd card slot on board for storage expansion.
The main camera is a 8MP Auto-Focus unit with LED flash and a front facing 2MP fixed-Focus camera for selfies and video chats. The device weighs 160 grams, measures 140 X 79.4 X 9.98mm in dimensions and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS.
Connectivity options on the device includes – 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. It is backed by a non-removable 4000mAh Li-Po battery which offers 33.5 days of standby time and 35 hours of talktime. It supports Dual SIM functionality (Mini SIM + Micro SIM) with Dual Standby and has FM Radio on board.
The Lenovo A5000 is expected to go launch officially in some few days. White and Black are the available colour options.
