Lenovo has unveiled a new affordable Flex series Chromebook – the Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook. The convertible has a 11.6-inch (1366 x 768 pixels) HD IPS multi-touch display with anti-glare and polycarbonate body frame. It measures 297 x 205 x 20 mm, weighs about 1.3 kg and lasts up to 10 hours of usage.
The Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor clocked at 2.1GHz paired with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB eMMC storage space (expandable via microSD card). It runs Chrome OS and comes pre-installed with Chrome Web Store, however, will support Google Play Store soon.
The 360-degree hinge of the Flex 11 allows for usage in four different scenarios (modes) – Watch, Tent, Laptop and Tablet. It is designed to withstand drops from falls from up to 75cm, the ports has been reinforced and the touchpad is protected from accidental spills. Also, the keyboard is water resistant i.e it can handle spills of up to 330ml.
Connectivity options available include – HDMI, USB 3.0, USB Type-C Port (also for charging), HDMI, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, audio jack and kessington lock. The Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook starts at US$ 279 and will be available before the end of the month.
