Lenovo has announced a new affordable smartphone in China – the Lenovo Lemon 3 which should have another name when it is available internationally. The new mid-range phone comes with a price tag of CNY 699 (USD 105) and arrives just days after the Xiaomi Redmi 3 with the similar price tag went official.
Running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS with the company’s skin ontop, the Lenovo Lemon 3 sports a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB expandable built-in storage space.
In the camera segment, the Dual SIM enabled Lemon 3 has a rear facing 13-megapixels camera with LED flash and a front facing 5-megapixels camera for taking selfies and video calls. Connectivity options onboard includes – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro USB and 4G LTE. It is backed by a 2750mAh battery and also comes with the accustomed Dual Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos for enhanced audio performance.
For comparisons sake, the Lenovo Lemon 3 has a Full HD resolution display and 2750mAh battery while the Xiaomi Redmi 3 has a HD resolution display and a bigger 4100mAh battery. Both devices have a metal body build, Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 SoC and 5-inch display.
