Lenovo Taiwan has updated its website with the Lenovo Miix 720 (Lenovo Ideapad MIIX 720), expected to be announced at the CES 2017 this week in Las Vegas. The specifications and pricing as well as the images has confirmed previous leaks and surfaced on the eve of proposed launch day.
More like previous Miix series tablets, the Lenovo Miix 720 is not only detachable but very comfortable for typing and we’ll suited for productivity. It sports a 12-inch screen with a screen resolution of 2880 x 1920 pixels, 3:2 aspect ratio, brightness of 400 cd/m2 and Corning Gorilla Glass glass 4 protection.
Pre-installed with Windows 10 Pro OS, the slate is powered by Intel’s 7th-gen Kaby Lake-U series processors (15W) – Core i5-7200U 2.5GHz and Core i7-7500U 2.7GHz; with Intel HD 620 GPU and can also be configured based on RAM (4GB, 8GB or 16GB DDR4) and SSD Storage (512GB or 1TB).
Connectivity and port options available include – USB Type-C with Thunderbolt 3, Bluetooth 4.1, 1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, microSD card slot and audio jack. Imaging is handled by a rear facing 5MP AF camera and a front facing 1MP camera with Windows Hello support.
Expected to last up to eight (8) hours of usage, the slate measures 292 x 210 x 8.9 mm in size and weighs in at 780 grams without the keyboard (and 293 x 216 x 14.6 mm and 1.1kg with the keyboard). It also has a pair of Dolby speakers and keyboard with backlit keys.
The Lenovo Miix 720 is available in two SKUs – a model with Intel Core i5 & 512GB SSD priced starting at NT$ 39,990 (US$ 1240) and the other model with Intel Core-i7 & 1TB SSD costs NT$ 54,990 (US$ 1703. The latter model also has support for the optional Lenovo Active Pen Stylus 2, which recognises up to 4096 levels of pressure to take notes and draw freehand.
