The Consumer Electronic Show is always an avenue for Lenovo to pull its stunts and this year is no different. The company has announced two new Droid smartphones, a selfie flash accessory and a good looking smartband.
Lenovo P90
The Lenovo P90 features a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display and has Intel Atom Z3560 chipset with 1.83 Quad-core CPU under the hood with 2GB of RAM and 32GB space of internal storage. There is a rear facing 13MP Autofocus camera with LED flash, a front facing 5MP camera, Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS and a very capable 4000mAh battery.
The Lenovo P90 measures 8.5mm in thickness; weighs 158grams and supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot connectivity options. It would be available in Lava Red, Onyx Black and Pearl White Colour options for $369 (unlocked) by February 2015.
Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro
The Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro is based on the layered design which debuted on the Lenovo Vibe X2. The Vibe X2 Pro is said to be a limited edition device.
The Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro is powered by the 64-bit Qualcomm snapdragon 615 processor with 1.5GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU with 2GB of RAM and 32GB space of internal expandable storage. The device uses a 5.3-inch 1080p IPS LCD display and runs on Android 4.4 kitkat OS with VIBE 2.0 UI. The Vibe X2 Pro has a front and rear facing 13MP camera with the rear camera only having a LED flash.
The smartphone supports dual SIM (Nano SIM) functionality, supports 4G LTE Cat.4, measures 146.3 X 71.0 X 6.95mm and weighs 140grams. The Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro uses a 2410mAh battery and would be available unlocked for $499 in Champagne Gold, Electric Blue and Rock Pink Colour option by April.
Lenovo VIBE Xtension Selfie Flash
The Lenovo VIBE Xtension Selfie Flash is an accessory that eases Selfie worries in low light conditions. The selfies flash attach to any Android smartphone via its Audio Jack and lightens up with the force of 8 white LED bulbs.
The flash syncs with the Camera’s shutter. On one single charge users can take up to 100 selfies thanks to its 80mAh battery capacity. The Lenovo Vibe Xtension Selfie Flash would go on sale in April for $29.
Lenovo Vibe Band VB10
With everybody manufacturer unveiling its own wearable, you can’t judge Lenovo for delving into the market since its already a norm. The Lenovo Vibe Band VB10 uses a 1.43-inch E-Ink (296 x 128 pixels) display and lasts 7 days of usage with its Bluetooth and display always turned on.
The smartband packs the usual fitness tracking functionality i.e it measures calories, tracks distance, calculate sleep rate, etc. The Vibe Band VB10 is compatible with iOS and Android smartphones and is IP-67 certified (waterproof) which means it can survive up to 1m of water for 30 minutes.
The Lenovo Vibe Band VB10 ensures you do not misplace your smartphone with the proximity reminder and phone finder feature. It allows easy receiving of notification for SMS, Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, WeChat) and more. It weighs just 30grams and is available in Black and White colour option for $89 by April 2015.
