Lenovo has announced three new smartphones with AI-powered dual rear and front cameras – the Lenovo S5 Pro, Lenovo K5 Pro and Lenovo K5 S.
Lenovo S5 Pro
The S5 Pro, successor to the Lenovo S5, has a notched 6.2-inch FHD+ display with 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It has a full metal body with 205 zircon sandblasting and a 110-degree drilling process, USB Type-C port and depends on a 3,500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
On the inside, the device runs ZUI 5.0 (based on Android 8.1 Oreo OS) and relies on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 octa-core mobile platform paired with 6GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB built-in expandable storage. Along with facial recognition, there is a fingerprint sensor.
The 12MP (f/1.8) + 20MP (f/2.6) rear dual camera setup offers 2x optical zoom and AI based Portrait shots. The front camera setup includes 20MP + 8MP sensors with 3D imaging and 3D natural beautification.
It will go on sale starting October 23rd in Blue Ice Crystal, Elegant Black and Pure Gold colours. Pricing starts at CNY 1,298 for the 6GB + 64GB model and CNY 1,398 for the 6GB + 128GB storage model.
Lenovo K5 Pro
The Lenovo K5 Pro has a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with 1500:1 static contrast ratio, USB-C port, fingerprint sensor and a long lasting 4,050mAh battery with 18W fast charging. Like the S5 Pro, it is also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor.
The rear and front cameras are both equipped with 16MP + 5MP sensors each. It arrives in Elegant Gold and Style Black colours, and pricing starts at CNY 998 for the 4GB + 64GB model. The 6GB + 64GB model cost CNY 1,098 and the 6GB + 128GB top model goes for CNY 1,298.
Lenovo K5 S
The Lenovo K5 S is inferior to the S5 Pro and K5 Pro. It has a 5.7-inch HD+ display, 13MP + 5MP dual rear and front cameras and a 3,000mAh battery. It packs the octa-core Mediatek Helio P22 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage. Pricing starts at CNY 798.
