The new Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 14 is said to be the first convertible business notebook coming with a 14-inch size. The device works in four different modes due to its dual-hinge design for 360-degree rotation. The notebook is designed with a sturdy magnesium alloy case and a retractable keyboard; the keyboard retracts when the notebook is flipped 360 degrees to be usable in tablet mode.
The Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 14 features a 14-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, Intel Core i5 Haswell processor, 8GB of RAM, 1TB HDD, 16GB SSD cache, NVIDIA GeForce 840M graphics optional). Other features of the ThinkPad Yoga 14 includes – a docking connector, 2 USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port, HDMI output, micro SD card reader and Wi-Fi.
The Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 14 measures 17.8mm in thickness, weighs 1.86kgs (would weigh more if the NVIDIA graphics option is chosen), runs on Windows 8.1 and has a battery of around eight hours. The 14-inch notebook would be available soon at a starting price of $1199.99.
All through the consumer event, Lenovo announced 4 new devices in its Yoga series, the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro, Yoga Tablet 2, Yoga 3 Pro and the Thinkpad Yoga 14.
The Yoga Tablet 2 Pro runs Android 4.4 KitKat, while the Yoga Tablet 2 comes in Android 4.4 KitKat and Windows 8.1 options, and the Yoga 3 Pro is a Windows laptop with a signature 360-degree hinge design by Lenovo.
