Lenovo has announced a new budget 4G-enabled Vibe Series smartphone – the Lenovo Vibe B in India. The highlight of this entry-level device is its support for Voice over LTE (VoLTE). It is priced starting at Rs. 5799 (US$ 83) and arrives in Matte Black and White colours with Gold-colored battery cover option.
Moving to the specifications, the Lenovo Vibe B has a 4.5-inch IPS display with 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) screen resolution, 1GB of RAM, 8GB built-in storage space (expandable up to 32GB) and a removable 2000mAh Li-ion battery which delivers over a week (7.3 days) of standby time/11.3 hrs talk time.
Under the hood, the Lenovo Vibe B relies on a 64-bit quad-core Mediatek MT6735M processor clocked at 1.0GHz with ARM Mali-T720 MP1 GPU. Photography is handled by a rear facing 5MP FF camera with single LED flash alongside a front facing 2MP FF camera for selfies and video chats.
Connectivity options available includes – Bluetooth 4.0, GPS / A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 4G VoLTE. The Lenovo Vibe B is sized at 132.5 x 66 x 9.9 mm, weighs in at 144 grams and boots the dated Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. It also comes pre-loaded with Google apps and others such as Twitter, UC Browser, Skype and Mc Afee.
