Lenovo has officially announced the Lenovo Vibe S1 – the camera-centric phone is the first phones with a Dual Front facing camera setup. The Vibe S1 will be available in several markets excluding North America by November for a price tag of $299 in Midnight Blue and Pearl White colour options.
Moving to the details, the main highlight of the Lenovo Vibe S1 is the Dual Front camera which is a combination of 8MP + 2MP camera; the primary front 8MP camera takes the best photos while the Secondary front 2MP camera adds more more depth and dimensions or more like finishing touches to the image.
Once a selfie is taken, there are built-in photo editing tools such as ‘Cut Out’ which lets you remove people or background from a photo and replace them; the ‘Blur’ or ‘Bokeh’ photo effect can also be utilised. The main camera is no pushover, it is a 13MP snapper with Dual Tone flash.
Measuring about 7.8mm thin, the Lenovo Vibe S1 has a thin rounded metal frame around the sides, weighs 132 grams, has curved-glass rear panel made from the latest Gorilla Glass and has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display. It is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Octa-Core processor with 3GB of RAM.
There is 32GB space of internal storage and a potential up to 128GB additional space via a microSD card slot driving the space to approximately 160GB. The Dual SIM enabled Vibe S1 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, supports 4G LTE connectivity, and is backed by a 2500mAh battery.
