Almost a year after, Lenovo is ready to announce the Lenovo Vibe X3, the successor to the Lenovo Vibe X2 which was touted as the first smartphone with a multi layered design. The company was expected to announce the Vibe X3 alongside most other smartphones in the Vibe Series earlier this year but that didn’t materialise.
The device has been spotted on benchmark website, GFXbench with some of the key specs detailed. According to the listing, the Lenovo Vibe X3 is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with Adreno 418 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB space of internal storage out of which only 24GB is user available. There is a microSD card slot onboard for storage expansion (up to 128GB).
The display is a 5-inch (4.9-inch listed) display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels (FHD). On the rear, there is a 20.7MP camera with Dual LED flash, 4K recording and a front facing 8MP camera for selfies. The device runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS with Lenovo Vibe UI ontop.
Earlier leaks suggests the device would have a fingerprint scanner below the main camera, Dual front facing cameras, Hi-Fi 3.0 Audio for quality music experience. It is however expected to come with a Single SIM slot (or maybe Dual SIM version) and would support 4G LTE connectivity.
The Lenovo Vibe X3 is expected to be announced along with the Lenovo Vibe P1, Vibe P1 Pro and Vibe S1. But no word yet on the 6-inch sized Lenovo Vibe Max but that could still change before the IFA 2015 in September.
