Popular Chinese company, LeTV has continued it’s foray into the smartphone world with the LeTV Le 1s, it is the direct successor to the LeTV Le 1 which debuted earlier this year. It is also available in Gold colour option for a price tag of CNY 1099 (USD 173); about 300,000. Units of it will go on sale through JD.com and official Lemall mall starting November 3rd.
Moving to the specs, the LeTV Le 1s sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD in-cell display with 500nits brightness and a full metal body build. It measures 151.1x 74.2 x 7.5mm in dimensions, weighs 169 grams in size and USB Type-C has replaced the normal micro USB 2.0 for faster charging and reversible data transfer.
Under the hood, it is powered by an Octa-core Mediatek Helio X10 (MT6795T) processor clocked at 2.2GHz with PowerVR G6200 GPU for graphics, 3GB RAM and 32GB eMMC5.0 internal storage space. The device has a rear facing 13MP f/2.0 ISOCELL camera with LED flash, Phase Detection Auto-Focus (PDAF) and 4K video recording.
On the front is a 5MP camera with Samsung S5K5E2 sensor and 85-degree wide angle lens for selfies. Connectivity options onboard the LeTV Le 1s includes – Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n, MHL 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, GPS, USB 2.0 Type C and 4G LTE connectivity.
For improved audio quality, the company has thrown in Dolby audio & Dirac HD audio technology and the fingerprint sensor can be found on the back just below the main camera.
The Dual SIM (Nano + Micro) enabled LeTV Le 1s runs EUI 5.5 which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and backed by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging features; charging the phone for 5 minutes with a 24Wh charger means it would be able to make calls of 3.5 straight hours.
