LeTV (or LeEco) entered the competitive smartphone industry in 2015 with a handful of high-end offerings which are majorly available in China. Earlier this month, the company announced the first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor by Qualcomm – the Le Max Pro.‎

The company is looking beyond the chinese domestic market and has plans to compete on a global scale. The name change from the restrictive ‘LeTV‘ to ‘LeEco‘ shows the integration of all the tiers under the Le Ecosystem which are Platform, Content, Device and Application.

LeEco has plans to launch its products in countries and regions with huge potential for breakthrough innovation or hhigh speed growth such as the US and India. According to various sources, the only product the US market will be getting this year (2016), is a smart bicycle which can pair with a smartphone. ‎

Also, the all-new LeTV Super TV X65 was also launched at a price tag of CNY ‎4,999 ($760) starting January 19th from LeMall. The 65-inch 4K LED TV features a 1.4GHz quad-core Mstar 6A928 processor with ARM Mali-T760 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage. It measures 10.2 mm thick and ‎will run the EUI 5.5 TV Springer system. ‎
