Ahead of the CES 2018 in Las Vegas, LG Electronics has announced its first ever 4K UHD projector with the promise to deliver stunning 4K images in a compact, convinient package. The LG 4K UHD projector will be on display alongside the latest version of the MiniBeam Projector (model PF50K), which features webOS 3.5 and Full HD resolution.
Due to its upright design and portable size, the LG 4K UHD projector (HU80K) can be used mounted on the wall, hanging from a ceiling or when placed on the floor. It create a 150-inch screen at 2,500 lumens (the brightest projector yet from LG) and supports HDR content (HDR 10).
Asides having a convenient carrying handle and an Auto Cord feature; the 4K UHD projector has two 7W speakers for delivering a true cinematic audio experience and a Mirror Reflector which serves as a lens cover for protection against dust. It boots webOS 3.5 smart TV interface with guaranteed access to popular online streaming services offering 4K content.
Connectivity options on the projector include ports for USB, Ethernet and HDMI. It also has wireless (Bluetooth) support for external devices such as a keyboard and mouse.
Commenting on the launch, Chang Ik-hwan, head of LG’s IT business division, said;
