LG announce LTE version of the Watch Urbane based on WebOS software

The LG Watch Urbane LTE has gone official and is expected to run LG Wearable Platform OS which is reportedly based on the WebOS. The Urbane Watch LTE is an LTE version of the Original version with some improvement in features and won’t run Android Wear OS.

The LG Watch Urbane LTE is the first smartphone which packs 4G LTE connectivity and is the fourth smartwatch from LG. It makes and receive phone calls as well as text messages, foreign speech translation, work as a walkie-talkie style voice chats. It also comes with a 700mAh battery which is said to provide several days of standby time.

It uses the same 1.3-inch Plastic Organic Light Emitting Diode (P-OLED) circular display which is said to be always on thanks to the ambient mode feature. It has the same chipset as the urbane Watch – the Same 1.2GHz Qualcomm snapdragon 400 processor with 4GB space of internal storage and 1GB of RAM.

The LG Watch Urbane LTE also comes with a payment tool which lets user make NFC based payments. It comes with three buttons on the right side – the top button is used to access settings, the middle button for switching back and forth between apps and Games and the lower button which is used for the back function. 

LG is expected to announce the LG Watch Urbane and the Watch Urbane LTE at the MWC 2015.
