LG Mobiles has teamed up with Verizon Wireless to release the LG Exalt LTE – a basic 4G LTE enabled flip-phone in the US. The device is available online only via the carrier for a retail price of $168 or a monthly payment of $7.0 for 24 months (with $0 down payment for qualified customers).
Tipped to last 6 hours of talk time (VoLTE) and 10 days of standby time (LTE) on its 1,470mAh Lithium-ion battery, the LG Exalt LTE sports a 3-inch (400 x 240 pixels) WQVGA TFT colour LCD display, physical buttons, rear 5MP AF camera (no LED flash), 8GB built-in storage, and support for microSD cards up to 32GB for more storage space.
The device is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.1GHz and supports HD Voice i.e it uses the carrier’s 4G LTE network for digital, high-resolution sound during voice calls. Other key features include – text-to-speech, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, global roaming, A-GPS/S-GPS and micro USB charging port.
The LG Exalt LTE measures 112.8 x 54.1 x 17.53 mm, weighs 130.12 grams and supports only LTE Bands 13, 4, and 5 (for Canada LTE roaming – it can use LTE Band 4).
