Shortly after surfacing online via the rumour mill, LG debuted a new G Pad III series tablet in South Korea on Sunday. The LG G Pad III 10.1 FHD LTE follows the G Pad III 8.0 tablet launched back in May, arrives with a built-in kickstand and price tag of KRW 429,000 (around USD 360). A new 10.1-inch model with stylus pen support is expected to arrive early next year.
As the naming suggests, the LG G Pad III 10.1 FHD LTE sports a 10.1-inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixels (WUXGA) screen res, 32GB internal storage space (supports expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD card), and offers LTE support via SIM card. It measures 256.2 x 167.9 x 7.9 mm, weighs in at 510 grams and boots Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.
The slate is relies on an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 2GB of RAM and backed by a 6000mAh battery (non-removable). It is equipped with Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, USB Type-C port, 5MP/5MP rear and front cameras, GPS and comes pre-loaded with Microsoft suite of apps such as Office.
The tablet’s built-in kickstand supports folding and allows up to 70-degrees of adjustment. It runs Time Square UX, which allows for usage as a desk clock, table top calendar, or digital frame.
