LG G Watch set to be the first smartwatch powered by Google’s Android Wear.

LG G Watch alongside the Google newly modified Android Wear were both announced back in march, while keeping mum on the specifications of the device, the company has uploaded photos of the smartwatch and it has also unveiled a Champagne Gold edition alongside the Black edition.

The LG G Watch will be the first wearble to run on the Android Wear OS, which aims to send emails, calls and texts from the wrist. The watch will also be able to receive voice commands for complex tasks , update travel informations and weather updates automatically.

According to sources, The LG G Watch will feature a 1.65″ screen with a 280 x 280 resolution, 512MB RAM and 4GB of built-in storage, dust & water resistance, a screen that never sleeps, voice command prompt. LG also promises it will deliver the best ‘Google experience’ on a smartwatch as well as connectivity to a host of Android Devices not announced yet.

Google is expected to reveal more details about the Android Wear OS at its annual developers conference – I/O. Notable for giving away free hardwares for attendees of the event, Google could give out free LG G Watch at the conference in June.

The smartwatch is expected to go on sale in Q2 this year.
