At the Google I/O conference this year, Google revealed its first set of Android Wear with the LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live. The LG G Watch is the first smartwatch running on the Android Wear OS, with Motorola’s Moto 360 the second and the surprise Samsung Gear Live being the third.
The G Watch has been teased by the Korean giants for weeks now and the official specs has finally been revealed. The smartwatch features a 1.65-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with (280×280 pixels) resolution, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC, 4GB of internal storage, and 512MB of RAM.
The G Watch is IP67 certified, which means it is dust and water resistant; the smartwatch can survive under 1m of water for around 30 minutes. The G Watch measures 37.9 x 46.5 x 9.95mm, weighs 63g and is powered by a 400mAh battery.
