Leaks Phablet Phones Rumours

LG G4 Pro could have a metal body build

LG is expected to announce another flagship in the second half of the year and that device is the LG G4 Pro. Asides the alleged name of the device, there is nothing giving away any supposed specs expected from the smartphone.

According to a report from South Korea, LG is having a tough decision choosing whether to implement a metal body case for the LG G4 Pro or other niche model smartphones. The company is said to be contemplating maximising it’s marketing effects by going in for a metal body build for its flagship products or gain stability by launch a niche model with metal build before applying them to its flagship products.

Many people at LG are however taking the stance that LG should try out metal on some niche products before applying them onto flagships. If LG finally decides to use metal, it would like to distinct itself from the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) processing method used by Apple and Samsung.

The company would opt for Press+CNC processing method; this method processes the aluminium through press and then cuts it with CNC equipment. This would lead to the company spending lesser amount whilst also having a metal that can compete with other metal based flagships.

LG has already announced its flagship LG G4 smartphone and is already selling around the world. The company opted for a more exquisite Leather back option and the choice of the Hexa-core SD808 processor gave the device a smooth running unlike the heating complaints which has followed the octa-core SD 810 Soc.

The LG G4 Pro is expected to be released in time to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 which is expected to be announced around August or September. We will keep an eye out for this.
