LG has officially announced the phablet sized LG G4 Stylus, the international version of the LG G Stylo announced in April in South Korea. As the name implies, it comes with a Stylus Pen but cannot be compared to the LG G4 in terms of specs and there won’t be any leather back option either.
Moving to the specs, the LG G4 Stylus is a phablet sized device with a 5.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and comes with a Rubberdium Stylus which allows for easy note taking as well as drawing on the device. Handling task on the device is just 1GB of RAM which could be a put off and there is 8GB space of internal storage which is expandable with a microSD card slot.
The G4 Stylus is available in two chipset and rear camera option – an octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and 8MP camera for the 3G version; a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and 13MP camera for the LTE version. The front camera for both version is a 5MP camera.
The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, measures 154.3 x 79.2 x 9.6mm in dimensions, weighs 163 grams and is backed by a removable 3000mAh battery. Connectivity options includes – USB 2.0, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS, GLONASS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Software features such as the Knock Code, Gesture Shot, Glance View are available and also the camera has Laser Auto Focus.
The LG G Stylus would be available in Metallic silver and Floral White colour option in Strategic markets. It is set to be available in coming weeks pricing would be communicated locally. If we are to judge with the G Stylo price it wouldn’t stretch off the $370 mark.
