The Mobile World Congress 2016 ushered in the era of new high-end devices including the LG G5 which is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 820 processor. However, LG has a variant of the G5 running another processor make from Qualcomm – the Snapdragon 625.
Sold in Latin American markets, the G5 in these parts relies on the Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 1.8GHz (4 x 1.4GHz + 4 x 1.8GHz), although the listing says it is clocked at 2.0GHz. Internal storage space stands at 32GB while RAM memory can either be 3GB or 4GB.
The LG G5 Snapdragon 625 variant has similar specs as the Snapdragon 820 variant. It sports a 5.3-inch QHD IPS display with a secondary display which is always-on, rear facing 16-megapixels camera with OIS, front facing 8-megapixels camera, fingerprint scanner and a 2800mAh battery.
It measures 7.7mm thick, uses the USB Type-C port, runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and has the signature modular design as well as the LG Friends (LG Cam Plus, LG Hi-Fi Plus with B&O Play, LG 360 CAM, LG 360 VR).
