LG is reportedly set to release a new tablet under its GPad series. The LG GPad X2 8.0 Plus as it is known now has a support page on T-Mobile’s website which means a lunch is imminent. The tablet slots in the low mid-range family and definitely supports the carrier’s ‘Uncarrier’s LTE network’.
As expected, the website listing highlights the main features and specs of the LG GPad X2 8.0 Plus including its optional dock accessory called G Pad Plus Pack. It has an 8-inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixels (WUXGA) and maintains a 16:10 aspect ratio.
The tablet packs an unnamed octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, 2GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage space (expandable up to 2TB via microSD) and front and rear 5MP cameras. It also runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS and connects to devices via micro USB 2.0.
The G Pad Plus Pack mentioned earlier is basically a kickstand with an extra built-in 4,400mAh battery, USB port and stereo speakers. It connects to the tablet via series of pogo pins. There is no word on pricing of the tablet and the exact date of launch.
