LG and au KDDI have jointly unveiled a new high-end smartphone – the LG isai Beat LGV34, which should go on sale in Japan by mid-November. The new smartphone carry-on majority of the impressive specs of the LG V20 but comes in a smaller 5.2-inch display rather than the 5.7-inch one.
Running Android 7.0 Nougat OS, the LG isai Beat LGV34 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (MSM8996) processor, packs 4GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage space which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot, front facing 5MP camera and a 3000mAh non-removable battery.
The device sports a 5.2-inch WQHD IPS LCD display, retains the V20’s secondary screen, B&O Play branding and uses the USB Type-C port. The two rear cameras – a 16MP camera with Laser Autofocus and Dual LED flash + 8MP wide-angle camera, from the LG V20 are also present.
The LG isai Beat LGV34 weighs 146 grams (15% less than the V20), measures supports 4G LTE, VoLTE and WiMAX 2+. It is dust protected (IP6X), waterproof (IPX5 / IPX7) and will arrive in Gold or Titanium colour options. There is no word on pricing and avialability outside the Japanese market.
