South Korean electronics giant, LG has unveiled a new midrange smartphone as part of the company’s L Series III handsets the L65 Dual.
The LG L65 was launched in Russia, and it features a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, a 4.3-inch WVGA (800x480p) IPS display, 1Gb RAM, 4Gb Inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32Gb), a 0.3MP front camera and a 5MP rear-facing camera.

The device is expected to run on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS, 2100mAh removable battery and the specs are similar to that of the LG L70 Dual. Connectivity options on the LG L65 Dual include Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/AGPS, EDGE/GPRS, micro-USB and 3G.
Also added is the Knock Code feature which gives users access to their Smartphones via a knock pattern. The Knock Code pattern also allows up to 80,000 combinations and according to LG provides the best of security and convenience to users over conventional password and pattern-based security options.
The Knock Code feature debuted on the LG G PRO 2 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2014) and its also available on the L Series III, G2 Mini and the F Series.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The LG L65 has already been released in Russia and it costs 7,490 roubles (around N35,000 – N40, 000 in Nigerian Naira). As of now there is no word when the phone would be released globally, but with the mid-range specifications its expected to be available in markets like India, China, and other emerging countries.
